Spotify releasing on consoles
One of the bigger tech news stories of this past week has to be related to Spotify. Spotify, in case you did not know, is the most popular music streaming service in the world. Offering a paid version where you can listen to thousands of available tracks ad free, or a free version with adverts breaking in every few songs, the service has been insanely popular worldwide. This past week, however, has seen Spotify launch on Playstation 4.
That move has already proved a huge success with over one million downloads of the free service in the first twenty four hours. By allowing the service on the platform Sony has ensured one further step in cementing the Playstation 4 as the console of choice for the living room. Offering Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and many other video services in addition to Spotify. Games consoles aren’t just for games any more.
